Emerging Agriculture Technology Program

Students will develop technical skills and learn to interpret, analyze and utilize data gathered from agriculture technologies to improve both crop and livestock production yields.

What will I learn?

In this program, students will learn about emerging agricultural technology, such as precision agriculture tools and automated systems that optimize processes and enhance sustainability. They will learn about soil management, sustainable farming practices and animal husbandry. Students will participate in hands-on industry experiences including an internship. Students are encouraged to choose an area of emphasis: conservation, data analytics, marketing or innovative technology-livestock, and take in depth courses focused on these topics. The program also allows students to study in 怡春院视频鈥檚 state-of-the-art facilities and get hands-on experience with livestock.

Credit Diploma

The Emerging Agriculture Technology (EAT) Program is designed to give students exposure to the wide variety of technologies driving the future of agriculture. Students in this program will focus on solving problems in the industry using technology. EAT includes courses that provide broad exposure to issues, technologies and industries in the region as well as an opportunity to select an area of emphasis in which to further their studies. Students will choose from one of four areas of emphasis in which to study: conservation, data analytics, marketing or innovative technology-livestock.

What can I do with this degree?

Emerging Agriculture Technology graduates may be employed in the area of livestock traceability, precision farm management, agriculture technology sales, innovative production agriculture technologies, planning and performance data analysis, livestock monitoring implementation specialist, and more. The EAT program is also well suited for transfer to a Bachelor of Applied Science program.

Agriculture Activities 

Students have to opportunity to participate in clubs like the livestock show team, livestock judging team, ranch horse team, block and bridle club, intercollegiate horse show association team and  in addition to industry field trips and internships.
