Haas TM1-P Vertical Mill

Haas TM1-P Vertical Mill

The AMMC has seven Haas TM-1P mills in our CNC Lab. These machines will allow students to run programs that they have written using CAD/CAM software. The TM-1P can machine small or large parts with very complex geometries such as angles, contours, slots and holes on 3 axis.

Haas TL-1 Lathe

Haas TL-1 Lathes

The AMMC has seven Haas TL-1 Lathes in our CNC Lab. These machines will allow students to run programs that they have written using CAD/CAM software. The TL-1 can machine small or large parts. Students will be allowed to create complex features quicker and more easily than a manual lathe.

Electrical Discharge Machining

Mitsubishi 1200S EDM Machine

Electrical Discharge Machining cuts very precise pieces of metal using brass wire that measures in at .008" to vaporize the metal as electric pulses create those very precise cuts. The work takes place in an area that is submerged in water. Once the material is secured on the working surface and the cutting program is loaded, water will cover the work area and act as coolant for the operation while washing away the metal residue.

FANUC Robots

As more companies incorporate robotics into their operations, the demand for high paying careers related to designing, implementing and using industrial robots is increasing. To help add trained technicians to the area, as well as prepare the region for new industries, the AMMC has added two robots and two co-bots to its training line-up.

The AMMC has manual mills and lathes as well as our surface grinder from Kent USA.

The center offers a Concept Forge, or fabrication lab, to enable entrepreneurs the ability to prototype their product ideas. The Concept Forge includes 3D printers, sewing machines, laser cutters, Glowforge, a sublimation printer, soldering stations, cutting tools and more.

Markforged 3D printer

Markforged 3D printers

There are 5 Markforged 3D printers in our Concept Forge at the AMMC. These printers allow anyone to create their own prototype or piece through our software, available in a variety of materials and colors. These high-end 3D printers are able to communicate with the computer and notify the user when a project has been completed or needs more material to continue printing.
