Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operator Program
What will I learn?
In the CNC Operator Program, students will learn about manufacturing, precision measuring and quality assurance. They will learn basic robot operation and programming. Students will learn to use CNC lathes and mills in a hands-on environment in addition to computer software like Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Machining (CAM).
Credit Diploma
This credit diploma is designed to prepare students for careers as a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operator to meet current needs of industry in one semester. Students learn the techniques, hardware, software, and computer system practices associated with Computer-Aided Machining (CAM) to manually write, save, retrieve and transfer CNC machine programs. Students will learn to program Factory Automatic Numerical Control (FANUC) industrial robots and collaborative robots (co-bots) and will have the opportunity to earn FANUC certifications.
