Automotive Technology Program
What will I learn?
Do you have a love of vehicles? Do you thrive at problem solving? The automotive technology program may be a great fit for you. The auto tech program teaches students about engine construction, fuel and ignition systems, powertrains, brakes, transmissions, electronic and diagnostic equipment, basic auto body repair and more.
The courses prepare students for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam.
The automotive industry is a constantly changing entity as technology changes the way systems operate and communicate. The âù´ºÔºÊÓƵ Automotive program is accredited by the ASE Education Foundation.
Nationally, there is a shortage of automotive technicians. Graduates can generally find a job anywhere they choose to live.
Students who are interested in studying auto tech at âù´ºÔºÊÓƵ can choose from two options:
Credit Diploma
The Automotive Technology – Automotive Fundamentals Program is designed as the first in a series of two âù´ºÔºÊÓƵ credit diplomas to prepare the student for employment in the automotive repair business as well as to meet the needs of those who want to advance their skills in automotive repair.

Credit Diploma
The Automotive Technology – Automotive Services Program is designed to be the second of two âù´ºÔºÊÓƵ credit diplomas to prepare students for employment in the automotive repair business, as well as to meet the needs of those who want to upgrade their skills or meet personal objectives in auto repair.
This program is designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce or to continue their education in the Trades & Technical Studies AAS program.

What can I do with this degree?
Graduates may work in dealerships as well as independent and franchise shops.
