Information Technology Fundamentals Program

As technology continues to play a central role in many industries, understanding IT support fundamentals can help people better understand how technology works and how to troubleshoot common issues. 

What will I learn?

Students will learn about computer hardware, operating systems, software, mobile systems, programming concepts, basic networking, databases and fundamental cybersecurity.

Students have opportunities to use the Cyber Range simulated electronic warfare environment, Microsoft Datacenter Academy working lab and/or NERDS skillset development and community outreach center.

 

Credit Diploma

The Information Technology Fundamentals Credit Diploma is a one semester program designed for students and professionals who need to acquire a basic to intermediate level of understanding of IT principles, systems, and concepts to enhance their employment or education potential. Students in the degree program will develop core skillsets necessary to tackle more advanced IT subject matter, as well as learning the fundamental terminology, roles, and considerations of IT in modern business environments.
